What to expect at our Weekend Worship Services:
We have two worship services during the weekend. Sunday morning at 10:00am in Wickliffe and Sunday morning at 10:30am in University Circle . Each service lasts about 90 minutes. When you walk through our doors you will be welcomed by our greeters and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Many people who attend the Vineyard each weekend have either never been to church or went twice a year max. You’re in good company with those of us who are exploring who God is—or rediscovering what church can be. If you’re a first time guest to our church you will also receive a special gift. We want you to feel at home so grab a cup of coffee and a pastry before heading into our worship service.
Our worship service usually begins with our worship leader welcoming you to the service and a brief scripture is read. This is followed by an opening prayer.
We begin the service by singing worship songs (about 30 minutes) and have a live worship group providing the music. The words are on a screen so everyone can follow along and sing. You can feel free to stand or sit and relax. We want you to do what feels comfortable.
This is normally followed by announcements which highlight events happening the upcoming week. We continue in our worship through our offering. For those who value the mission of this place and are learning to give, this is a time to give back to God a portion of what He’s given us.
We then move into the message part of our service. This is where one of our pastors shares a Bible-based relevant message, and the service ends with a time of ministry and prayer for various needs.
As service officially ends feel free to fellowship (connect with other people) in our lobby or stop by our “Connect” area to get more information about things happening at the Vineyard.
We offer fun, caring Sunday school classes for children called Kingdom Kids. This includes children from nursery through 11 years old. We also have a Youth Group for kids 12 to 18 that meets during our service.
At our church you will find real people who face challenges and triumphs together; people who don’t have all the answers, but are seeking them from God on a daily basis. You will find support and unconditional love. There is laughter here, sometimes sadness, but most of all, there is always wonder and awe at what God is doing.
Stop by and say hello to see what the Vineyard Community Church is all about. Consider yourself personally invited to our worship service. We don’t sit on benches and there is no stained glass but our messages are relevant, things you can take with you and put into practice during the week, and our worship is genuine and from the heart.
